Happy White Shirt Day!  It took a few days of convincing before my main man 9 year old Sam agreed to be painted for this one, but once we got going he loved it!  I’m wishing I had done a video as the giggles when the kabuki brush tickled were the BEST! Haha!

So, I want to thank Sam for letting me use his cute self to paint my first ever shirt body paint! I wanted to add more folds and things in the sleeves and shirt itself but, well, little boys can only sit still for so long! (and my basement studio is a cold place to sit with your shirt off!) He was a great and patient model! 🙂 Here’s a little closer view:

Well, today is apparently umbrella day!

Unfortunately in February in Minnesota, we rarely need to use umbrellas for either rain or to shade us from the sun, as it is typically cold and dreary!  But, today I can stare longingly at the calendar and count the days until April Showers come and bring May Flowers!!

Well now, I can’t think of a better excuse to skip cooking dinner tonight than PIZZA NIGHT!  You can’t go wrong with pizza.  Pepperoni is my favorite, so I painted it on my arm for today’s post! 🙂

Happy Ballet Day!  This is the closest I will ever come to being a ballerina, haha!  And holy cow, it is HARD to paint your own foot!!! I thought Argyle Day was tough…this one was even tougher going all the way around, and onto the foot!

Happy frozen yogurt day!  It is also Lame Duck Day, but I prefer to steer clear of politics with my posts…there’s enough of that out there already! So let’s enjoy some frozen yogurt instead!!  🙂

This one isn’t overly elaborate, as I didn’t have a ton of time to spend on it.  But that’s kindof the point of this challenge…to paint SOMETHING whether I have a lot of time or not!  If I always waited until I had an hour to spend on a painting, I’d have already missed out on SO many of these fun daily challenges!!  😉  Now quick, get yourself to the nearest Culver’s, STAT!!!

I loooove all things chocolate.  Years ago I worked as a display designer for Best Buy corporate, and while there I utilized my employee discount to invest in a chocolate fondue fountain.  Let’s just say it has taken many of our events up a notch, and those of our family and friends who’ve borrowed it!  🙂

I did a little sweater sleeve for today using black, white and gray!

Okay, so the alternative celebration today is “working naked day.” Let’s just say that one is not going to happen…I’m pretty sure that while it may increase my business at adult parties, it would certainly end my career doing children’s parties! Haha!

It’s Hedgehog Day! I thought about painting a realistic hedgehog, as they are actually quite cute.  However, this time I opted to go for a more cartoony design, and painted Sonic!  I still have my Sega Game Gear that I bought with my own money as a kid.  I can’t believe how many hours I had to babysit for $3 per hour to earn enough to buy that thing!!  I still remember the excitement when I finally had enough money, and how exciting it was to be able to play handheld video games in COLOR! Haha! It took like 6 or 8 AA batteries when not plugged into the wall…I think it was some super impressive 16 bit resolution or something too. Those were the days…
